“2009 CMT MUSIC AWARDS” IGNITE ALBUM SALES FOR EVERY PERFORMER AND WINNER FOLLOWING THE LIVE TELECAST

Brad Paisley, Darius Rucker, Trace Adkins and Toby Keith Top the List for Increases in Album Sales

NASHVILLE – June 24, 2009 – The 2009 CMT MUSIC AWARDS sparked post-show physical and digital sales for every performer and winner following the live telecast on Tuesday, June 16 on CMT. According to Soundscan, every performance on the show generated substantial increases in both digital track sales and full album sales following the live telecast.

The nights’ winners also came out on top for sales increases, according to Soundscan. In addition to three trophies for the night, Brad Paisley walked away with significant digital track increases for “Waitin’ On A Woman” (+72%) and “Start A Band” (+56%). Other winners who saw sizeable post-show gains included Rascal Flatts’ single “Every Day” (+51%), Sugarland’s single “All I Want To Do” (+35%), Zac Brown Band’s album “The Foundation” (+38%) and single “Chicken Fried” (+31%) and Alan Jackson’s single “Country Boy” (+31%).

The 2009 CMT MUSIC AWARDS performers saw gains for physical and digital album sales, with increases among the following:

· Brad Paisley (“Play”) increased 52%

· Darius Rucker (“Learn To Live”) increased 44%

· Trace Adkins (“American Man Greatest Hits Volume II”) increased 43%

· Toby Keith (“That Don’t Make Me A Bad Guy”) increased 37%

· Sugarland (“Love On The Inside”) increased 30%

· Lady Antebellum (“Lady Antebellum”) increased 27%

· Jason Aldean (“Wide Open”) increased 25%

· Dierks Bentley (“Feel That Fire”) increased 16%

· Kellie Pickler (“Kellie Pickler”) increased 14%

· Taylor Swift (“Fearless”) increased 10%

· Rascal Flatts (“Unstoppable”) increased 9%

· Keith Urban (“Defying Gravity”) increased 9%

The awards also spurred digital track sales increases among each of the following songs* performed on the live show:

· Trace Adkins (“You’re Gonna Miss This”) increased 83%

· Lady Antebellum (“Lookin’ For A Good Time”) increased 65%

· Darius Rucker (“Alright”) increased 59%

· Toby Keith (“God Love Her”) increased 44%

· Taylor Swift (“You Belong With Me”) increased 32%

· B-52s (“Love Shack”) increased 29%

· Rascal Flatts (“Summer Nights”) increased 29%

· Dierks Bentley (“Sideways”) increased 27%

· Keith Urban (“Sweet Thing”) increased 21%

· Kellie Pickler (“Best Days Of Your Life”) increased 15%

· Brad Paisley (“Then”) increased 12%

· Jason Aldean (“She’s Country”) increased 11%

In addition, each of the six acts featured on the Nationwide Insurance side stage experienced post-show sales increases. The secondary stage featured up-and-coming artists Jason Michael Carroll, Carter Twins, Eric Church, Eli Young Band, Gloriana and Joey + Rory.

Hosted by comedian Bill Engvall, the 2009 CMT MUSIC AWARDS featured an array of stars, musical performances and surprises throughout the night. Performances included Trace Adkins, Jason Aldean, Dierks Bentley, Def Leppard, Toby Keith, Lady Antebellum, Brad Paisley, Kellie Pickler, Rascal Flatts, Darius Rucker, Taylor Swift, Sugarland with the B-52s and Keith Urban.
