2015 “CMT MUSIC AWARDS” FUELS SIGNIFICANT SALES INCREASES FOR EACH MAIN STAGE PERFORMER

NASHVILLE – June17, 2015 – The 2015 “CMT Music Awards”, hosted by Erin Andrews and Brittany Snow, drove instant and immediate digital gains for every performer on the live show which aired Wednesday, June 10. Each of the 14 main stage performers saw double and triple digital lifts in their single sales according to Soundscan,with the largest increase for Florida Georgia Line’s “Anything Goes,” which grew +778% following their pyro-filled performance on the outdoor Broadway stage. The duo, who took home Duo Video of the Year, also broke ground to become the first artist to live-stream their performance from a TV taping with live-streaming app Meerkat.


Chart-toppers Lady Antebellum (+79%) and Zedd (+104%) saw significant gains,with a performance that brought the crowd to its feet featuring a mashup of “Long Stretch of Love” and EDM hit “Beautiful Now.” Other major increases came from Darius Rucker (+75%), who kept Broadway dancing with his hit song “Homegrown Honey”; Reba (+75%), who returned to the show after a 10-year absence to perform “Going Out Like That”; and Kenny Chesney (+65%), who closed out his outdoor performance of “American Kids” with fireworks. Jake Owen (+61%) also had a much-buzzed about TV debut of his single “Real Life,” which welcomed Owen to the stage on a mattress and featured life-sized inflatables and dancers on a colorful set.

The 2015 “CMT Music Awards” garnered nearly 17 million cumulative viewers* for the live June 10th premiere and subsequent airings, according to Nielsen, on par with last year’s record-breaking awards and up nearly 10 percent from 2013. #CMTawards trended worldwide on Twitter from the start of the live telecast and throughout, and the show ranked as the #1 most social telecast of the day with over 18 million impressions according to Nielsen Twitter TV ratings. The awards ranked as the #2 most social non-sports telecast of the week behind only Game of Thrones. Additionally, CMT.com saw double-digit gains for “CMT Music Awards” content, with unique visitors up +33% from the prior year.

• Kenny Chesney (“American Kids”) – Increased65%

• Jake Owen (“Real Life”) – Increased 61%

• Sam Hunt (“House Party”) – Increased 52%

• Carrie Underwood (“Little Toy Guns”) – Increased 34%

• Eric Church (“Like A Wrecking Ball”) – Increased 34%

• Jason Aldean (“Tonight Looks Good On You”) – Increased 29%

• Luke Bryan (“Kick the Dust Up”) – Increased 24%

• Zac Brown Band (“Homegrown”) – Increased 19%

• Keith Urban (“John Cougar, John Deere, John 3:16”) – Newly released

In addition, eachof the six performers from the Nationwide stage saw increases, including Chris Janson (+33%) who performed his new single “Buy Me A Boat” and prompted fans to visit CMT.com and the CMT app to see his new video. Additionally, Maddie & Tae (“Girl in a Country Song” +29%), Raelynn (“God Made Girls” +22%), Frankie Ballard (“Sunshine & Whiskey” +19%), Kelsea Ballerini (“Love Me Like You Mean It”+18%) and A Thousand Horses(“Smoke”+2%) each saw lifts.
