CMT AND CMT.COM TO HOST WORLD PREMIERE OF HANK WILLIAMS JR. VIDEO “A COUNTRY BOY CAN SURVIVE” 25 YEARS AFTER SONG HIT RADIO


NASHVILLE – January 31, 2007 – CMT and CMT.com will host the world television and online video premieres of “A Country Boy Can Survive,” more than two decades after Hank Williams Jr. first released the song to radio. The first video for Williams’ hit single makes its on-air debut during CMT TOP 20 COUNTDOWN on Thursday, February 1 at 4:00-7:00 p.m., ET/PT.

CMT.com will feature a sneak peek of the video on its broadband channel CMT Loaded beginning Thursday, February 1 at 12:00 midnight, ET/PT. In addition, the video will air on CMT PURE COUNTRY, the network’s digital 24-hour country music channel.

“A Country Boy Can Survive” is back on the charts for the first time since its 1982 debut with the release of a remixed version celebrating the 25th anniversary of Williams’ hit song.
