CMT and iHeartCountry partner to simulcast “2021 CMT Music Awards” airing Wednesday, June 9 at 8p/7c

LOS ANGELES & NASHVILLE -- (May 14, 2021) -- CMT and iHeartMedia today announced iHeartCountry will once again serve as the official radio partner of the “2021 CMT Music Awards” airing Wednesday, June 9 at 8:00PM ET/7:00PM CT. The live radio broadcast of the Awards telecast will be offered to more than 120 iHeartCountry music radio stations. Voting for country music’s only entirely fan-voted award show is now open at vote.cmt.com.
This year’s star-studded awards show, hosted by powerhouse artists Kelsea Balleriniand Kane Brown, will deliver two-and-a-half hours of nonstop performances and one-of-a-kind collaborations in and around Music City. Female powerhouses Maren Morris and Miranda Lambert lead the pack of 2021 Nominees, picking up four nods each, followed closely by Ballerini, Brown, Little Big Town and Mickey Guyton who each picked up three nominations apiece. Out-of-genre artists who received nominations include Halsey, Noah Cyrus, John Legend and P!nk. Performers and presenters will be announced in the coming weeks.
