“CMT Life Set To Music” Publication Debuted in Select Newspapers On July 16 With Distribution Topping 250,000

Multi-Platinum Recording Artist Carrie Underwood Appears On Inaugural Cover


NASHVILLE – July 17, 2006 – CMT and Publishing Group of America (PGA) have finalized a strategic marketing program and have published an eight-page, stand alone editorial insert entitled CMT Life Set To Music, it was announced today by Andy Holeman, director, consumer marketing, CMT and Dick Porter, CEO, Publishing Group of America. The insert focuses on entertainment and CMT programming and began monthly distribution in select Sunday newspapers on July 16. Boasting an initial circulation of over 250,000, CMT Life Set To Music will be distributed in 25 top markets, as well as many C and D counties.

“This alliance marries the best of both worlds: CMT’s music and entertainment content authority combined with PGA’s publishing and distribution expertise,” said Holeman.

With multi-platinum recording artist Carrie Underwood gracing the first cover, CMT Life Set To Music spotlights country’s hottest superstars, delivers the latest country music news and features information on CMT’s programming and network initiatives. Beverly Keel (People Magazine, American Profile) serves as editor of the new publication.

Markets included in the initial rollout included: Nashville, Los Angeles, Birmingham, Cleveland, Houston, Knoxville, Louisville, Memphis, San Francisco, Phoenix, San Antonio, Tulsa, Albuquerque, Tampa/St. Petersburg and Sacramento.

Franklin, TN-based Publishing Group of America publishes American Profile, Relish and Texas Profile magazines.
