NASHVILLE – May 2, 2006 – CMT continues to count down the greatest moments in the careers of some of the most talented and well-known country music superstars in its series, CMT GREATEST MOMENTS. Record label president, multi-platinum artist and country music icon, Toby Keith, is featured in the latest installment of CMT GREATEST MOMENTS: TOBY KEITH, premiering Saturday, May 6 at 8:00 p.m. ET/PT.

In this one-hour episode, CMT brings new insight into Keith’s life. From winning his first CMA Award in 2001, to recording and starring in the music video for “Beer For My Horses” with Willie Nelson, to putting out his heartfelt, though controversial, “Courtesy of the Red, White and Blue (The Angry American),” CMT covers these renowned moments of Keith’s career. CMT GREATEST MOMENTS also touches on the less public moments of the country superstar, such as his founding of an Oklahoma-based charity, “Ally’s House,” that assists families with sick children.

Oklahoma native, Toby Keith, has come a long way since his first hit, 1993’s “Should’ve Been a Cowboy.” Keith’s new album, White Trash With Money, launched his Show Dog venture, his own independent label. "Get Drunk And Be Somebody," the album's first smash single, is a good example of Keith's dry humor and observational eye. "A Little Too Late" is bit of straightforward songwriting that enjoys as lavish a production as anything he's ever released. And "Crash Here Tonight," which he calls the most tender love song of his career, shows just how far across the music spectrum he's able to comfortably range. Keith has received multiple awards including ACM’s 2002 and 2003 Entertainer of the Year, AMA’s 2004 Favorite Album and Billboard’s 2005 Country Album Artist of the Year.
