CMT Edge celebrates music without boundaries from artists on the fringe of country music, and serves as a digital hub for recently launched performance series, CONCRETE COUNTRY and LIVE @ CMT. CMT.com has a long history of uncovering new music, starting with its first online performance series “New Voices, No Cover” in 2003, featuring such artists as The Avett Brothers, Hayes Carll and Kathleen Edwards. Those same artists will now share a permanent home on CMT Edge. The site will be curated by CMT.com Writer/Producer Craig Shelburne.

CMT.com was one of the first genre-specific sites at launch in 1997, and maintains its position as the #1 most-visited country music website averaging 1.6 million unique visitors and 3.8 million video streams per month (comScore 3-month average, May-July 2012).
