CMT GOES INSIDE THE MAKING OF TOBY KEITH’S FIRST FEATURE FILM IN THE SPECIAL “BEHIND THE SCENES: BROKEN BRIDGES”

NASHVILLE – August 17, 2006 – Known as one of country music’s biggest superstars, Toby Keith is taking on a new role as he stars in his first feature film, Paramount Classics and CMT Films, “Broken Bridges.” Only CMT is there to capture all the action when the camera isn’t rolling, in the new half-hour special, BEHIND THE SCENES: BROKEN BRIDGES , premiering on Friday, Sept. 1 at 9:00-9:30 p.m. ET. “Broken Bridges” not only stars Toby Keith in the title role, but also stars Kelly Preston, Willie Nelson, Tess Harper, Anna Maria Horsford, Lindsey Haun and Burt Reynolds. On Thursday, Sept. 7 moviegoers in over 100 U.S. cities and servicemen and women at military bases on seven continents around the world, will be able to attend a “Broken Bridges” premiere event that brings the kind of glitz and glamour usually only seen in Hollywood to their hometowns the day before the film is released in select markets on Friday, Sept. 8.
BEHIND THE SCENES: BROKEN BRIDGES follows the cast of the film as they shoot on location in and around Atlanta, Ga. It features never-before-seen footage of Toby Keith on set with the cast and exclusive interviews with Keith, Preston, Nelson and Haun. BEHIND THE SCENES: BROKEN BRIDGES shows viewers how Keith makes the big jump from commercials and music videos to the big screen and it highlights his first scene, first screen fight and even his first on-screen kiss. It also features a first time-look at Keith’s musical performances shot exclusively for the film and featured on the “Broken Bridges” soundtrack, which will be available in stores on August 29.
“Broken Bridges” is a bittersweet story of former high school sweethearts Bo Price (Toby Keith) and Angela Delton (Kelly Preston), who return home after the deaths of their younger brothers which forces them to deal with the past and future. Keith plays a country music singer who has fallen from the spotlight and whose life changes after coming home, reuniting with his true love and meeting his 16-year-old daughter (Lindsey Haun) for the first time.
