Proceeds to Benefit Cook’s favorite Charity Walden’s Puddle

NASHVILLE – September 4, 2008 – From CMT Host Katie Cook’s closet to yours, CMT.com will auction the revealing number she wore on the season finale of “Nashville Star.” From now through Thursday, Sept. 11, Cook’s designer dress is available for auction at CMTauctions.com and benefits her favorite charity, Walden’s Puddle.

The charcoal grey dress features heavy black beadwork and is from the designer Mandalay. Cook told Country Weekly the low-cut dress “was a walk on the wild side, but my husband sure liked it.”

The much-talked-about dress garnered national attention when Cook’s cleavage received a mention in Entertainment Weekly’s Pop Watch blog as the “breakout performance” of the finale.

All proceeds from the auction are designated for Walden’s Puddle, a wildlife rehabilitation and education center, located on 14 acres in Joelton, Tenn. The center is committed to caring for the sick, injured or orphaned Tennessee wildlife and admitted over 1700 animals to the center last year.
