Deana Carter to Host Premiere Episodes of CMT DEDICATED

NASHVILLE – June 27, 2006 – CMT invites fans to be the star of its new weekly series CMT DEDICATED, premiering Monday, July 3 at 4:00 p.m. ET/PT. Hosted by Deana Carter, the weekly one-hour show allows fans to select and create on-air content by submitting video dedications to their friends and family. CMT DEDICATED marks the second user-generated original series to debut on CMT this summer, following the launch of CMT POWER PICKS, where viewers select the next video they want to see by voting online. CMT POWER PICKS generates more than one million votes per episode since its debut in May.

CMT DEDICATED allows viewers to submit dedications a number of ways, including online at Dedicated.CMT.com, via e-mail, regular mail, phone or video submissions. All submitted dedications are considered for use on-air or online at CMT.com. Each episode of CMT DEDICATED includes live phone dedications, a short feature on one of the week’s entries and a “most dedicated” video segment.

Deana Carter burst onto the music scene 10 years ago with the release of Did I Shave My Legs For This?, which contained four No. 1 hits – “Strawberry Wine,” “How Do I Get There,” “Count Me In” and “We Danced Anyway.” With several more hit singles, two more albums, seven million units in sales and several cross-country tours with Alan Jackson, Vince Gill, Dwight Yoakam, Kenny Chesney and Keith Urban under her belt, she continues to carve her own path. In 2005, Carter released her first independent project The Story of My Life under Vanguard Records, for which she served as writer, producer, musician and singer on all 11 original songs.

CMT DEDICATED is a CMT original production, with John C. Feld serving as executive in charge of production.

For more information about how to submit dedications or to preview exclusive video content, visit the CMT DEDICATED microsite at CMT.com.
