Executive produced by Steve Moore of AEG Live, CMT ON TOUR will launch in September and hit 33 markets across the country.

“Working with CMT for the past four years has really proven to be an important franchise for developing hot new acts,” says Moore. “The caliber of talent that the CMT tour has presented has been outstanding and continues to grow more successful year after year.”
Past artists participating in CMT ON TOUR have included such superstars as Brad Paisley, Keith Urban and Rascal Flatts. The 2006 CMT ON TOUR will include such markets as New York, Los Angeles, Dallas, Atlanta, Houston and Las Vegas. Tickets will be available for each city via Ticketmaster. Tour schedule to be announced.

Trace Adkins first broke onto the country music scene in the mid-90s, with his debut album selling more than one million copies. Since then he has sold millions of records, won dozens of awards and he’s become a member of the prestigious Grand Ole Opry. He consistently performs to sell-out crowds and has developed a huge fan base over the years. Most recently, Adkins has been riding the wave of success from his latest album, Songs About Me. Now approaching the two million mark, the album made its entry at the top of the Country Albums chart upon its release in March 2005 and has produced three more hit singles for Adkins, including the monster song, “Honky Tonk Badonkadonk.” Adkins will celebrate his tenth year as a recording artist with a new album release, Dangerous Man, marking his seventh studio album for Capitol Records Nashville, slated for August 1 release.

Mercury recording artist, CMA and two-time ACM nominee, Billy Currington made his country debut with his 2003 self-titled album that spawned the powerful Top 10 hit “Walk A Little Straighter” and the Top five smash “I Got A Feelin’.” Then, superstar Shania Twain tapped the Georgia native as the perfect partner for her hit “Party for Two.”  On his second and Gold-certified album Doin’ Somethin’ Right, Currington delivers an even more mature Southern sound of blues-tinged country songs including his current single “Why, Why, Why” and the No.1 hit “Must Be Doin’ Somethin’ Right,” which earned Currington his first CMT Music Award for “Hottest Video of the Year.” He is currently nominated for the ACM’s Top New Male Vocalist.

Broken Bow Record's Jason Aldean has skyrocketed to success with his self-titled debut album earning Gold Certification in record time. His current single "Why" hit the top spot on the Billboard Hot Country songs chart, as well as the CMT Top 20 Countdown. Aldean’s first single, the smash-hit "Hicktown," was also a Top 10 hit and No. 1 video. The Georgia-native earned a 2005 CMT MUSIC AWARD nomination for Breakthrough Video of the Year and was recently recognized with an ACM nomination for "Top New Male Vocalist."
