CMT.COM BREAKS MULTIPLE RECORDS FOLLOWING ITS ANNUAL
ONLINE COVERAGE OF THE “40TH ANNUAL CMA AWARDS”
NASHVILLE – November 15, 2006 – CMT.com celebrates its best week ever following its online coverage of the “40th Annual CMA Awards,” breaking multiple single day and week long records for unique visitors, streams and page views. Total unique visitors for the week were up 55% over the previous site record. In addition, CMT’s new broadband player Loaded garnered 2.6 million streams for the week, up 19% over the prior record. Top content for the week on CMT Loaded included the addition of a daily newscast CMT NEWS NOW, along with live streaming coverage of the CMA RED CARPET.
This marked the tenth consecutive year CMT.com provided in-depth coverage of the CMA Awards with a dedicated fan site offering news, photo galleries, interactive games, fan voting, video and Radio CMA, a web broadcast featuring music by current nominees and past winners. In addition, CMT.com added daily streaming news updates and live red carpet coverage for the first time.
