Site Experienced Double-Digit Growth in Streams and Uniques

NASHVILLE – November 17, 2009 – CMT.com experienced its highest-streamed CMA Awards week in history this year, rounding out last week’s event with an incredible 1.6 million streams over three days. Newly-crowned Entertainer of the Year Taylor Swift reigned supreme at CMT.com as well, accounting for 16% of the video streams during those same three days.

“CMT.com saw growth across-the-board following this year’s CMA Awards, with a 74 percent increase in video streams alone on the day after the event,” said Martin Clayton, vice president of CMT.com. “CMT offers unprecedented coverage on all screens, and more fans than ever turn to our website as the premiere news source for country music.”

Highlights of the week’s wins at CMT.com include a record number of video streams at CMT.com on the day following the awards (+74% increase over last year), and a record number of unique visitors on the day following the awards (+14% increase over last year). In addition, CMT.com’s CMA Red Carpet special experienced a +25% increase in live streams over last year.

For the twelfth year, CMT.com joins the celebration of country’s biggest and brightest artists each year with incomparable online coverage. The site includes 40-plus years of CMA archives and photo galleries, live red carpet coverage, news recaps and videos of the night’s big winners. CMT.com’s 2009 CMA Awards microsite and live Red Carpet special were sponsored by the Warner Bros. Pictures’ film “The Blind Side” starring Quinton Aaron, Sandra Bullock and Tim McGraw.

Fans can relive the night’s big moments when CMT hosts the cable premiere of the “43rd Annual CMA Awards” on Friday, November 27 at 9:00 p.m. – 12:00 midnight, ET/PT. The special aired live from Nashville on ABC last week, and was expertly guided by co-hosts Brad Paisley and Carrie Underwood.

The CMA Awards will also be rebroadcast on Saturday, Nov. 28 at 2:30 p.m., ET/PT, and Sunday, Nov. 29 at 7:00 p.m., ET/PT.
