CMT’S ANTHONY BARTON PROMOTED TO SENIOR VICE PRESIDENT, INTEGRATED MARKETING

NASHVILLE – March 1, 2010 – Anthony Barton has been promoted to Senior Vice President Integrated Marketing, from Vice President, Integrated Marketing, CMT, it was announced today by Brian Philips, President, CMT. Barton is based in Nashville and reports to Brian Philips and Jeff Lucas, EVP Entertainment Group Ad Sales, MTVN.

Barton joined the CMT Integrated Marketing team as Vice President in 2004. In his new role as Senior Vice President, he will continue to create innovative custom content for all CMT platforms that engages the audience, delivers measurable ROI and generates revenue for the network. Barton has worked with such high profile clients as Verizon, Bing and Nationwide Insurance on campaigns for the network’s biggest event of the year, the CMT MUSIC AWARDS, as well as Paramount Studios, Warner Brothers and Fox Filmed Entertainment.

In his 14 years with MTV Networks, Barton has worked in several divisions. He joined MTVN in 1995 as an assistant at Nickelodeon Affiliate Marketing in New York City where he worked on marketing promotions and the launch of TV Land. In 2002, Barton joined CMT as Director of Affiliate Marketing where his team developed marketing promotions and sales materials to support aggressive CMT distribution efforts. During his time in Affiliate Marketing, CMT went from 57 million subscribers to 76 million

After splitting his time between New York City and Nashville, Barton relocated to Nashville in 2007. Barton graduated from Vanderbilt University with a BA in English and Theater in 1993. He is a member of the Country Music Association and currently serves on the Board of the Brooks Fund.
