CMT’S BRAD JOHNSON TAKES ON ADDITIONAL DUTIES OVERSEEING ALL SERIES DEVELOPMENT FOR NETWORK

LOS ANGELES – May 19, 2010 – CMT has expanded the role of recently-added Senior Vice President Brad Johnson, to include the oversight of all series development for the network, it was announced today by Bob Kusbit, head of development, CMT. Johnson joined CMT last November, focusing exclusively on comedy development for the channel. In his new role, he will oversee all series development including comedy, scripted, reality and game shows. Johnson will continue to be based in Los Angeles, reporting to Kusbit.
“In the short amount of time Brad has been at CMT, he has shown an incredible mix of great storytelling, leadership and the ability to get the creative community excited about bringing their best ideas, in all genres, to CMT,” said Kusbit. “We’re thrilled to have Brad help lead and further inspire an already dynamic development team.”
Current CMT development executives Claire McCabe, vice president, development in Nashville, and Melanie Moreau, vice president, development in Los Angeles will now report to Johnson. McCabe is executive producer on such shows as SINGING BEE, CMT CRIBS and GATOR 911; Moreau executive produces WORLD'S STRICTEST PARENTS, DANGER COAST and DALLAS COWBOYS CHEERLEADERS: MAKING THE TEAM.
Currently, Johnson is overseeing production on several CMT pilots, scheduled to shoot in Los Angeles this summer.
Johnson’s background includes executive development positions at Twentieth Century Fox, Bungalow 78 Productions, and his own production company, Watson Pond Productions.
