NASHVILLE – July 15, 2013 – CMT.com’s gritty performance series CONCRETE COUNTRY will make its television debut with eight new 10-minute specials that shine the spotlight on emerging artists, and will premiere weekly on the channel beginning Tuesday, July 16. CMT and Mountain Dew announced a partnership earlier this year that would take the no-boundaries performance franchise on the road and to the TV screen. New episodes were filmed across the country in the hometowns and on iconic city streets pivotal to the success of featured artists, including Brian Davis, Casey Donahew Band, The Dirty River Boys, Nikki Lane, Stoney LaRue, The Black Lillies, Turnpike Troubadours and Whiskey Myers.

“CONCRETE COUNTRY on CMT.com has done a tremendous job tapping into the wealth of unsigned, indie and emerging artists since it launched last year,” said Leslie Fram, SVP of Music Strategy, CMT. “For the new episodes, we hand-selected eight artists who have developed massive followings while staying true to their sound. For some of them, this is the first time on national TV and we’re excited to introduce our new favorites to the CMT audience.”

In the first episode premiering Tuesday, July 16 at 11:50 p.m. ET/PT, Brian Davis performs a four-song set from downtown Nashville’s Honky Tonk-lined lower Broadway, delivering acoustic versions of his songs “Dirty,” “Bang Bang,” “Hurt Like Hell Yeah,” and “Against The World.” Davis’ performance of “Hurt Like Hell Yeah” will also air throughout the week on CMT and CMT Pure, with additional exclusive content available online at concrete.cmt.com.
