CAN YOU DUET (episode 6) - PREMIERE!
Thousands of country star hopefuls auditioned, but only two performers will make the final cut to become country’s next great duo when CMT premieres CAN YOU DUET, a new 11-episode music competition series from “American Idol” producers FremantleMedia North America. Host Rossi Morreale will lead a panel of celebrity and expert judge/mentors, including country superstar Naomi Judd, acclaimed vocal coach Brett Manning and award-winning songwriter Aimee Mayo, in the weekly series that will seek to find country music’s next great duo – with the winner walking away with a recording contract with Sony BMG Nashville. This week, the final eight duos perform on stage at The Wildhorse Saloon in Nashville with a full band and standing-room only audience. The judges will eliminate one duo at the end of the show. Premieres Friday, May 16 at 8:00 p.m., ET/PT


MOBILE HOME DISASTER (episode 1) - PREMIERE!
Hosted by comedian John Caparulo, MOBILE HOME DISASTER finds deserving families that are living in less than desirable mobile homes and gives them the home makeover that they so desperately need. With help from the accomplished Home Disaster Team including Lori-Lynn Lively, Joe DeRobbio and Kyle Carlson, they use their expertise to revamp these houses on wheels into beautiful trailer park palaces. The first episode features Jim Bigelow of Palmdale, Calif. Jim is the all-American single dad raising his 5 sons, ranging in age 7 to 16. The Bigelow 6 live in a 2 bedroom, 2 bath mobile home. The guys are a tight knit bunch but there’s one big problem - there’s nowhere for 10-year-old Jake to sleep, so has to spend nights at his grandma’s. Jim recently changed careers to become a teacher so he could be closer to his boys and he even coaches them in sports. Jim’s dream is to one day be able to give his sons a home they can all live in together - a log cabin. Premieres Friday, May 16 at 9:00 p.m., ET/PT


TRICK MY TRUCK (episode 1) - PREMIERE!
CMT’s hit show TRICK MY TRUCK returns with an all-new season and a brand new cast. In the first episode, Brian Boucher is passionate about three things: trucking, family and racing. Growing up, Brian fixed up cars and trucks. Once he graduated from high school, he hit the road and never looked back. Life on the road is not easy for him. Brian’s away from his wife and two kids for months at a time, and he rarely has any time for himself. Don’t miss this special Trick My Truck event, as the boys transform Brian’s beat down rig into a well oiled machine fit for any racing fan. Premieres Friday, May 16 at 10:00 p.m., ET/PT


PEOPLE COUNTRY SPECIAL ON CMT - PREMIERE!
CMT has partnered with PEOPLE for a half-hour special to coincide with the magazine’s popular country issue, it was announced today by CMT and PEOPLE. Hosted by CMT INSIDER’s Allison DeMarcus, PEOPLE COUNTRY SPECIAL ON CMT will bring the pages of PEOPLE’s quarterly country newsstand issue to life, with exclusive, behind-the-scenes footage of photo shoots and interviews with country music’s biggest stars. PEOPLE COUNTRY SPECIAL ON CMT will take viewers inside an exclusive interview and photo shoot with Kenny Chesney, go inside the homes of Clint and Lisa Hartman Black and Luke Bryan, as well as share Jack Ingram’s secrets for an authentic Texas barbecue. In addition, Carrie Underwood reveals her favorite things and LeAnn Rimes, Miley Cyrus and Billy Ray Cyrus, Taylor Swift, Snoop Dogg, Bobby Brown and Jewel are featured backstage at PEOPLE’s photo booth at the 2008 CMT MUSIC AWARDS.
