CMT's PROGRAMMING HIGHLIGHTS FOR 6/2-6/8
Programming Highlights June 2—8, 2008
CAN YOU DUET (episode 9) - PREMIERE!
Thousands of country star hopefuls auditioned, but only two performers will make the final cut to become country’s next great duo when CMT premieres CAN YOU DUET, a new 11-episode music competition series from “American Idol” producers FremantleMedia North America. Host Rossi Morreale will lead a panel of celebrity and expert judge/mentors, including country superstar Naomi Judd, acclaimed vocal coach Brett Manning and award-winning songwriter Aimee Mayo, in the weekly series that will seek to find country music’s next great duo – with the winner walking away with a recording contract with Sony BMG Nashville. This week, the final five duos perform on stage at The Wildhorse Saloon in Nashville with a full band and standing-room only audience. The judges will eliminate one duo at the end of the show. Premieres Friday, June 6 at 8:00 p.m., ET/PT
MOBILE HOME DISASTER (episode 4) - PREMIERE!
Hosted by comedian John Caparulo, MOBILE HOME DISASTER finds deserving families that are living in less than desirable mobile homes and gives them the home makeover that they so desperately need. With help from the accomplished Home Disaster Team including Lori-Lynn Lively, Joe DeRobbio and Kyle Carlson, they use their expertise to revamp these houses on wheels into beautiful trailer park palaces. This episode features the Frick’s who are big advocates of living green; they insist energy-efficient mobile homes are the wave of the future. Andreas and Katie met on Match.com and their compatibility drew them together: both grew up on chicken farms, both broke their shoulders horse-riding and love hiking and other outdoor activities. The two moved in together and shortly after, Andreas’ daughter Kimberly moved in with them. The three never imagined they’d be living in a mobile home, but were drawn to the Palisades Bowl after responding to a misleading ad about a condo for sale. Andreas is an architect who saw potential. He gutted the mobile home and has now run out of money to finish. The Frick’s live out of the master bedroom and Katie has no kitchen and does dishes in the bathtub and Kimberly uses it as the living to watch TV and do school work. Premieres Friday, June 6 at 9:00 p.m., ET/PT
TRICK MY TRUCK (episode 6) - PREMIERE!
Derek Lepke has always had a passion for the outdoors and he’s been able to turn that passion into three very successful careers. Derek breeds dogs, heads up hunting expeditions and runs his own wildlife preservation service. All three jobs operate out of Derek’s pickup truck and it’s wearing down from overuse. Don’t miss one of the most outrageous episodes of Trick My Truck ever, as the boys transform Derek’s Ford F250 into a leopard-printed safari truck from down under. Premieres Friday, June 6 at 10:00 p.m., ET/PT
