NASHVILLE STAR (episode 9) - SERIES FINALE! (CMT Premiere)
NASHVILLE STAR is the grassroots talent search to find America’s next great music star. Host Billy Ray Cyrus ("Hannah Montana") will join country music star, singer-songwriter and acclaimed producer John Rich and Multi-Platinum singer-songwriter and three-time Grammy nominee Jewel, along with acclaimed industry heavy weight and BMI Songwriter of the Year (2006) Jeffery Steele, to bring their unique insights and experience to the show and its contestants. The winner of this year’s competition will receive a major recording contract with Warner Bros. Nashville and the performance opportunity of a lifetime on the world’s stage at the Summer Olympic Games in Beijing. Premieres on CMT Friday, August 8 at 4:30 p.m., ET/PT
COUNTRY FRIED HOME VIDEOS (episode 5) - PREMIERE!
What makes a home video “country fried”? It could be a belly flopping contest in a mud puddle; shot gun bowling in the backyard; or even the age old favorite, bobbing for trout. Fans interested in submitting their very own “country fried” home movies can go to CMT.com, where they can also check out the best full length clips from each week’s episode. Comedian Bill Engvall hosts CMT’s half-hour series, COUNTRY FRIED HOME VIDEOS. Now in its fourth season, the series features real home videos shot by real people, showing what real Americans do for fun. Premieres Friday, August 8 at 9:00 p.m., ET/PT
MABE IN AMERICA (episode 6) - SERIES FINALE!
Known for plotting revenge on telemarketers with his comical phone antics, comedian Tom Mabe (“Prank It Up” and “Revenge on the Telemarketers”) comes to CMT with an all-new hidden camera prank show that takes on everyday people in everyday life. This light-hearted six-episode series features Mabe and his crew wreaking havoc on unsuspecting passerby with pranks that prey on common pet peeves such as annoyingly loud cell-phone talkers and incompetent doctors. In the show’s last episode, Mabe creates some hilarious hidden camera moments using a photo-booth, some shoplifters, and one incredibly unique free sample give-away. Premieres Friday, August 8 at 9:30 p.m., ET/PT
GONE COUNTRY REUNION SPECIAL - PREMIERE!
After all the dust has settled, country superstar John Rich has the original GONE COUNTRY cast to come together for a rollicking Nashville reunion to discuss the good, the bad and the ugly of CMT's highest rated series ever. The cast, including winner Julio Iglesias Jr. along with Bobby Brown, Carnie Wilson, Dee Snider, Diana DeGarmo, Maureen McCormick and Sisqó reminisce about their wild time in Tennessee and where they are now in this half-hour special. The cast recalls the highs and lows of the first season and reveal plenty of great "lost" footage that didn't make the series. It all leads up to the former housemates dishing the dirt on how they really feel about the outcome of the show. Premieres Friday, August 8 at 10:00 p.m., ET/PT
