NASHVILLE – November 19, 2010 – CMT employees have a lot to be thankful for this holiday season, as country icon Reba will be giving them a much-needed vacation when she assumes new job responsibilities on CMT’s multi-platforms during the week of Thanksgiving. The superstar will stake her claim on CMT and CMT.com with a video world premiere, and serve as host for CMT RADIO LIVE, CMT RADIO INSIDER and CMT TOP 20 COUNTDOWN.
Reba’s invasion of CMT.com will commence with the exclusive world premiere of her latest video “When You Have a Child” online, beginning at 7:00 a.m., EST on Wednesday, November 24. As guest editor of CMT.com, Reba’s online presence will escalate throughout the weekend as her greatest music videos and performances, both past and present, are prominently featured on the #1 country music website. Fans can also check out Reba’s personal video playlists, where she’ll highlight some of her favorite music videos from other country artists. Additionally, fans can enter an online sweepstakes beginning Monday, November 22 on CMT.com, where Reba will give one lucky winner a special vacation to the Bahamas.
Next, Reba will conquer CMT radio airwaves when she plays the role of DJ, taking over for CMT’s Cody Alan on his nightly syndicated radio show, CMT RADIO LIVE, on Wednesday, November 24 and again on Friday, November 26 from 7:00 p.m. – 12:00 a.m., EST. In addition, she will also host CMT RADIO INSIDER during Thanksgiving weekend (check local listings for times).
On-air, CMT will world premiere “When You Have a Child” Thursday, November 25 at 6:00 a.m., EST when both the main channel and CMT Pure begin airing exclusive Reba video blocks during music hours. For the first time ever, all 44 of Reba’s music videos will be played in video blocks on CMT Pure. Encore presentations of her UNPLUGGED and INVITATION ONLY specials will also air throughout the weekend and on Friday, November 26, Reba will count down the top videos of the week when she hosts CMT TOP 20 COUNTDOWN, premiering at 10:30 a.m., ET/PT, with re-airs throughout the weekend. Following her Thanksgiving takeover, Reba will also be a guest on CMT INSIDER Saturday, December 4 at 1:30 p.m., ET/PT.
