New Episodes Feature Stiff Competition As Wannabe Coyotes Are Paired With Veterans In A Race To Win A $50,000 Prize
NASHVILLE – March 6, 2007 – In the second season of CMT’s popular series, ULTIMATE COYOTE UGLY SEARCH, legendary tough-talking founder of the chain of Coyote Ugly bars, Liliana Lovell, hits the road again in search of the next Ultimate Coyote. This time, the quest for the nation’s most deserving Coyote Ugly bartenders hits Nashville, New York City, Charlotte, Memphis and Ft. Lauderdale. Eight episodes of ULTIMATE COYOTE UGLY SEARCH 2007 begin with a special 90-minute premiere on Friday, March 30 at 8:00-9:30 p.m., ET/PT. A new one-hour episode will air each following Friday at 8:00 p.m., ET/PT.
This season, Lovell pairs five of her favorite veteran Coyotes with five newcomers from around the nation to compete for $50,000. The five selected pairs, hailing from Nashville, New York City, Charlotte, Memphis and Ft. Lauderdale, battle it out in dancing and bartending vying for a lifetime of bar notoriety and $25,000 each.
Coyote Ugly first opened its doors in 1993 to a tough New York crowd under the guidance of owner Liliana “Lil” Lovell. A former Wall Street apprentice, Lovell knew the combination of booze and beautiful women equaled money in the cash register. In 2000, Coyote Ugly received national attention following the box office hit of the same name. To date, there are 16 locations operating across the United States.
CMT.com and its broadband channel, CMT Loaded, are home to behind-the-scenes videos of Coyote wannabes from auditions to cuts, along with photo galleries, bios, streaming radio and more. Catch hard-core Coyote founder Lil and choreographer Jacqui as they dish about the girls and their bar-skills, and exclusive confessionals from the Coyote girls only on CMT Loaded. The series will bow on VOD and CMT Mobile in April.
ULTIMATE COYOTE UGLY SEARCH 2007 is a production of CMT and Touchdown Television. Executive producers are Melanie Moreau for CMT and Julie Christie for Touchdown Television.
