Coyote Founder Liliana Lovell Hits the Road in Search of the Nation’s Top Bartending Talent In Eight Episodes of the New CMT Series, Premiering April 10

NASHVILLE – March 28, 2006 – Witness the tantrums, the triumphs and the tears as tough-talking founder of the legendary New York City bar Coyote Ugly, Liliana Lovell, hits the road in a nationwide bartender search in the new eight-episode CMT original series THE ULTIMATE COYOTE UGLY SEARCH, premiering Monday, April 10 at 10:30-11:30 p.m., ET. Only one girl will be named the “Ultimate Coyote,” and walk away with $25,000 cash.

Starting at the original bar in New York, Lovell and two trusted veterans will travel the nation by bus picking up Coyote wannabes with a talent behind the bar in cities, including Nashville, Austin, San Antonio and finally, New Orleans. The drama intensifies as the bus gets crowded and the girls face grueling auditions and emotional rejection in their quest for stardom.

In the end, only five girls will survive the cuts once they reach New Orleans, where Lovell and her choreographer will drill, train, test, toughen and make over the bar hopefuls. The final episode and colossal re-opening celebration of the cornerstone New Orleans bar is just part of Lovell’s bigger plan to breathe life back into the devastated landmark, hit hard by Hurricane Katrina last year.

Coyote Ugly first opened its doors in 1993 to a tough New York crowd under the guidance of owner Liliana “Lil” Lovell. A former Wall Street apprentice, Lovell knew the combination of booze and beautiful women equaled money in the cash register. In 2000, Coyote Ugly received national attention following the box office hit of the same name. To date, there are 14 locations operating across the United States, with two additional locations slated to open in 2006.

THE ULTIMATE COYOTE UGLY SEARCH is a production of CMT and Touchdown Television. Executive producers are CMT’s Melanie Moreau, and Julie Christie for Touchdown Television.
