Original Nannies Set to Return to New Series

LOS ANGELES, January 21, 2009 -- Granada America will produce eight new episodes of its popular reality series “Nanny 911” in an exclusive arrangement for CMT, it was announced by Paul Buccieri, President and Chief Executive Officer, Granada America and Mary Beth Cunin, Senior Vice President, Programming Strategy, CMT. Off-net episodes of “Nanny 911,” which ran for three successful seasons on FOX, have been airing on CMT since March of last year. The new episodes are set to premiere on CMT in April 2009.

“We’re delighted to enter into this agreement with CMT to produce new episodes of our proven family-oriented series,” said Mr. Buccieri. “’Nanny 911’ has gained great traction at the network level and off-net, as well, and we are confident that the show will find a long-standing home with CMT and its viewers.”

‘“Nanny 911’ is one of CMT’s most successful acquisitions to date, and has helped the channel grow some 20 percent in daytime over last year,” said Cunin. “We’re thrilled to add new original episodes of ‘Nanny 911’ in primetime this year.”

With casting already underway, the new episodes will reunite two of the original nannies Deborah Carroll and Stella Reid.

“Nanny 911” follows a team of nannies armed with the do’s and don’ts of child-rearing. Each nanny has a specific area of expertise, ranging from proper etiquette to controlling temper tantrums. All are ready to help exhausted parents tackle the issues creating chaos in their home and whip their families into tip-top shape.

The “Nanny 911” series and format continues to be successful internationally as well. Territory deals include Canada, Estonia, Taiwan, Borneo, Lithuania, Kenya, Korea, Thailand, Mexico, Israel, Australia and New Zealand, the Caribbean, South Africa, Italy, Singapore, Japan, throughout the Middle East, Sweden, Malta, Indonesia, Finland, Russia, Netherlands, Holland, Belgium, Denmark, Philippines, Bulgaria, Ireland, Poland and Slovakia.

“Nanny 911” is produced by Granada America. Bob Kusbit, Melanie Moreau and Nicole Zien serve as executive producers for CMT.
