Aldean & Underwood each celebrate milestone “Video of the Year” wins
Cody Johnson notches two first time wins
NASHVILLE, TN - (April 11, 2022) - The fans have spoken and winners were revealed when the biggest names in music and entertainment gathered in Nashville tonight for the 2022 CMT MUSIC AWARDS. Co-hosted by Kelsea Ballerini, Kane Brown and Anthony Mackie, the live show from Nashville featured epic performances, first-ever collaborations, and world premieres as part of country music’s only entirely fan-voted awards show.
Cody Johnson walked away with two first-time wins, while Jason Aldean and Carrie Underwood each took home two trophies, including the highly-coveted “Video of the Year” award, marking two milestones: Aldean’s first-ever win in the category and Underwood’s 10th, continuing her reign as the most awarded artist in CMT history with a total of 25 career wins. Miranda Lambert notched her 12th CMT trophy; country legend George Strait, newcomer Parker McCollum, and country duo Maddie & Tae each won their very first CMT MUSIC AWARDS.
