Show to Feature Live Country Music Performances

Production to Begin in Atlanta in June


NASHVILLE, TN – April 25, 2006 – CMT has signed Jeff Foxworthy to a 12 episode series, FOXWORTHY’S BIG NIGHT OUT, featuring Foxworthy performing stand-up and sketch comedy, and live musical performances from country music’s brightest stars, it was announced today by Paul Villadolid, vice president programming and development, CMT. The show will premiere in September on CMT.

“Coming off two successful years hosting our flagship event, the CMT MUSIC AWARDS, Jeff has proven that he is a great fit with CMT,” says Villadolid. “Jeff understands and appeals to our audience like no other comic and his kinship with country artists allows us to create a distinct comedy show with a strong country music sensibility."

“I loved working with CMT on the award show,” says Foxworthy. “This new project is a chance to bring something new to CMT and give the audience a show that they will love. I am very excited to be a part of the CMT family.”

Taped in front of a live studio audience in Atlanta’s Alliance Theater, FOXWORTHY’S BIG NIGHT OUT will begin production in June. Each half hour episode will give Foxworthy a new platform to showcase the all-American comedy for which he has become famous. A cast of comedic talents, special guests, and country artists will join Foxworthy in comedy sketches and each episode will feature country stars performing their latest hits on the show which is geared for the whole family.

Jeff Foxworthy is the largest selling comedy recording artist in history, a multiple Grammy Award nominee, and the best selling author of 19 books.  He starred in and executive produced the television series Blue Collar TV, which he also created.  The television show came about due to the success of Blue Collar Comedy Tour: The Movie, which has sold more than 4 million units.  The sequel, Blue Collar Comedy Tour Rides Again, has exceeded 3.6 million units in sales. In March of 2006, the Blue Collar boys reunited to shoot Blue Collar Comedy Tour: One for the Road at the Warner Theater in Washington, D.C.  Foxworthy also has an HBO special and two Showtime specials to his credit, in addition to hosting the CMT MUSIC AWARDS for the last two years.  His syndicated weekly radio show, The Foxworthy Countdown, is carried in more than 220 markets across the United States.

FOXWORTHY’S BIG NIGHT OUT is executive produced by Fax Bahr and Adam Small, of Bahr-Small Productions, whose credits include In Living Color, Mad TV and Blue Collar TV. Jeff Foxworthy serves as host, executive producer and writer. J.P. Williams, who also produced Blue Collar TV, numerous comedy specials and several feature films, serves as executive producer. Paul Villadolid and John Fitzgerald serve as executive producers for CMT. The deal was brokered by Abel Lezcano of Del, Shaw, Moonves, Tanaka, Finkelstein,& Lezcano.
