McBride Covers Sara Bareilles’ Smash Hit “Love Song”

NASHVILLE – August 23, 2011 – Megastar Martina McBride delivers her trademark powerhouse vocals with a brand new confidence in an all-new episode of CMT UNPLUGGED: MARTINA MCBRIDE presented by Starburst, which debuts at CMT.com on Wednesday, August 24 at 8:00 p.m., ET at Unplugged.CMT.com and on the Starburst® Facebook page. Taped in CMT’s Nashville studio, Republic Nashville artist McBride reveals music from her upcoming album ELEVEN, along with the special Starburst Contradictions Track, a never-heard-before cover of Sara Bareilles’ smash hit, “Love Song.”

McBride performs new cuts “One Night,” “Always Be This Way,” “I’m Gonna Love You Through It” and “Whatcha Gonna Do,” along with her signature hit, “Safe in the Arms of Love.” She reveals the inspiration behind the impending ELEVEN, which hits stores October 11, along with how finding a great song is like Christmas. Fans also discover her first splurge following success was a Honda Accord that the practical McBride still drives on occasion.

Beginning Wednesday, August 24, “I’m Gonna Love You Through It” will be featured during music hours on CMT and CMT Pure, the network’s 24-hour digital music channel. CMT will promote the Unplugged performances across all of its properties including CMT, CMT.com, CMT Mobile, CMT Radio and the network’s social communities on Facebook and Twitter. The online launch of CMT UNPLUGGED: MARTINA MCBRIDE will be accompanied by a Live Viewing Party at both CMT.com and on Starburst’s Facebook page.
