NASHVILLE – December 13, 2006 – She may get the crown, but you have a shot at the cash! Beginning today, Miss America fans have a chance to win $1 million dollars by correctly predicting the winner of the 2007 MISS AMERICA PAGEANT, to be broadcast live from the Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino in Las Vegas on Monday, January 29 on CMT.

The “CMT Miss America 2007 $1,000,000 Pick & Win Game” lets fans be the judge and play online at www.missamerica.cmt.com to predict whom they think will take home the crown. One million dollars will be awarded to the entry that correctly predicts finalists from each of the four rounds, including the top 10, top 5, and top 3 finalists and ultimately, the winner of the 2007 MISS AMERICA PAGEANT.

“The Miss America Pageant is truly America’s show, and it only seems fair to let the legions of fans in on the action,” said Andy Holeman, vice president of marketing, CMT. “CMT’s Pick & Win Game represents the fun and passion surrounding the pageant and is a great way to participate in and celebrate its competitive spirit.”

“CMT continues to exceed our expectations with the innovative promotion surrounding the 2007 Miss America Pageant,” said Art McMaster, president and CEO of the Miss America Organization. “Every fan is a judge, so the Pick & Win Game is the perfect way for fans watching the pageant at home to join in the excitement to decide on who will become the next Miss America.”

In conjunction with the game, CMT will launch an extensive multi-media campaign to create awareness of the CMT Miss America 2007 Pick & Win Game and drive tune-in for the 2007 MISS AMERICA PAGEANT. CMT will promote the game across its multiple screens including CMT, CMT.com, the network’s digital channel CMT Pure Country and CMT Mobile. In addition, the network will launch a paid media campaign targeting national print, TV, online and radio.

CMT offers fans a unique “insider” advantage at www.missamerica.cmt.com, where they can learn more about each of the competitors. The CMT Web site features highlights of all 52 contestants with personal photos, videos, bios and more. In addition, fans can tune in to CMT on VOD beginning December 22 for short video bios starring each of the contestants.

The 2006 MISS AMERICA PAGEANT premiered on CMT last January and ranks as the most-watched telecast in CMT’s history with total viewers. Since its premiere, re-airings of the Pageant have been seen by more than 27 million different viewers.
