NASHVILLE – October 16, 2013 – CMT is traveling back down south to Bayou Pigeon, La., when SWAMP PAWN returns for a 16-episode second season on Saturday, November 16 at 10:00 p.m. – 11:00 p.m., ET/PT, immediately following the series premiere of ORANGE COUNTY CHOPPERS. SWAMP PAWN follows Rick Phillips of Phillips Swamp Seafood in Bayou Pigeon, along with his colorful crew of neighboring “swampers” as they make their living fishing, hunting, buying and selling anything the bayou serves up. The first season of SWAMP PAWN currently ranks as CMT’s second-highest series of 2013.

In each hour-long episode of SWAMP PAWN, Rick and the residents of Bayou Pigeon prove that while life in their small town may be simple, it’s never dull. Returning this season are fan favorites Coy and Shorty Gomez, the mismatched father-and-son fisherman team who spend much of their time arguing, looking for work or pawning anything they can to make a living. In the season premiere, Coy receives some shocking news related to his health that will heavily impact him and Shorty throughout the show. Husband-and-wife fishing duo Clayton and Joney Daley also return this season.

As for new faces, season two welcomes Rick’s wife Patty, whose job is keeping her husband in line and making sure he doesn’t make business promises he can’t keep. The next generation of fishermen is visible as well, with the introduction of cousins Austyn and Blake, a younger fishing duo who playfully take on the “old guys” while learning the ropes of the bayou.

In the season premiere, Easter is rapidly approaching, which in Louisiana means it’s the height of crawfish season. Rick’s customers are on the hunt for the coveted crustacean, but when his fishermen aren’t catching nearly enough to fill his large orders, he has to cut deals and get crafty. Meanwhile, Coy, Shorty and the rest of their friends and family in the bayou process the newly-learned information about Coy’s health that will change his life forever. Just as they’ve done through all the other ups and downs of swamp life, the men know they’ve got to keep the fight – and the laughter – going strong.
