CMT.com’s Roots Music Franchise Returns with The Lumineers, Green River Ordinance,
Carolina Chocolate Drops, The Infamous Stringdusters, Yarn and Trampled by Turtles
NASHVILLE – July 23, 2012 – The Lumineers kick off a new season of CMT.com’s gritty, online performance series CONCRETE COUNTRY, with exclusive new videos debuting today at Concrete.CMT.com. Filmed live on the streets of downtown Nashville, The Lumineers deliver acoustic versions of their hit debut single “Ho Hey,” along with “Classy Girls” and “Stubborn Love.” The Lumineers’ “Ho Hey” is in video rotation on CMT, and their Concrete Country performances are featured on the CMT.com home page, as well as Concrete.CMT.com.
CONCRETE COUNTRY, which launched earlier this year, celebrates roots music and serves as a home to singer/songwriters performing their original songs on their own terms. In addition to The Lumineers, the late summer lineup will include new music from Green River Ordinance, Carolina Chocolate Drops, The Infamous Stringdusters, Yarn and Trampled by Turtles. CONCRETE COUNTRY is executive produced by Mark Hall and Lewis Bogach for CMT.com.
To complement the launch of CONCRETE COUNTRY, CMT.com will publish daily, exclusive interviews this week with notable songwriters Brandi Carlile, Mary Chapin Carpenter, Jason Isbell, Billy Joe Shaver and Mindy Smith.
