09/22/08

Cast Including Sebastian Bach, Mikalah Gordon, Jermaine Jackson, Chris Kirkpatrick, Lorenzo Lamas and Sean Young Perform their Country Singles – Host John Rich Announces the Winner

NASHVILLE – September 22, 2008 – It all comes down to the final performances on CMT’s second season of the hit series GONE COUNTRY when multi-platinum singer/songwriter and host, John Rich, announces the series winner, the cast member most worthy of country stardom. Sebastian Bach, Mikalah Gordon, Jermaine Jackson, Chris Kirkpatrick, Lorenzo Lamas and Sean Young take the stage armed with the songs they have crafted throughout the series in this special one-hour season finale premiering Friday, September 26 at 8:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m., ET/PT.

After weeks of learning the ropes to country stardom and learning the finer points of songwriting, the cast prepares for their final challenge: performing before a Nashville audience, including industry insiders, who will help determine their fate. Since arriving in Nashville, the cast has received a country style makeover, performed for inmates at a Tennessee prison, taken out their aggressions on a demolition derby course and hit the streets to raise money for the Country Music Hall of Fame, all the while working to craft a country hit. The pressure has even caused one cast member to leave the competition. Now, it all comes down to this one night and nerves are raw as they take the stage for their final, most important performance. Only one will be deemed the GONE COUNTRY winner with the opportunity for host John Rich to produce their single and release it to country radio.

GONE COUNTRY is executive produced by David Garfinkle and Jay Renfroe of Renegade 83 Productions. Marc Oswald serves as executive producer. Melanie Moreau and Bob Kusbit serve as executive producers for CMT.
