VETERAN PRODUCER BOB KUSBIT RETURNS TO MTV NETWORKS AS HEAD OF DEVELOPMENT FOR CMT

NASHVILLE – January 29, 2007 – Bob Kusbit has joined CMT in the newly-created position of Head of Development, it was announced today by Brian Philips, executive vice president and general manager, CMT. Kusbit is charged with leading all development efforts for CMT and will oversee development teams in both Santa Monica and Nashville. Reporting to Philips, Kusbit will operate from CMT offices in Nashville, New York and Santa Monica.

In his new capacity at CMT, Kusbit will add new key executives to handle the daily oversight of his successful production company, One Louder Productions, which will continue to flourish, independently developing and producing network, cable and syndicated programs. At One Louder, Kusbit was responsible for creating several hit series for MTV, including the current series “Made.” Previously, Kusbit worked as senior vice president of production for MTV, where he helped create such institutions as “TRL,” and oversaw production on the successful MTV “Spring Break” series.

“Bob is a proven hit-maker and a beloved member of the MTV family,” said Philips. “His brilliant track record of producing network-defining shows will allow us to expand and diversify our slate of original programming, while retaining an emphasis on music. Bob is recognized throughout the industry as a true leader and we’re happy to welcome him into the CMT fold.”

Under new Head of Development Kusbit, Paul Villadolid, vice president original programming and development, and his team in Los Angeles and Nashville remain in place and will continue to develop and produce original projects. Philips adds, “Paul practically introduced original programming to the network. He’s done a terrific job kickstarting our current development, and will continue to develop more hit series under Bob’s direction.”

With Kusbit’s newly-appointed position, he will oversee such new projects as CMT COMEDY STAGE and a variety of new music video showcases, along with existing CMT shows TRICK MY TRUCK; DALLAS COWBOYS CHEERLEADERS; CMT stalwarts TOP 20 COUNTDOWN and CMT INSIDER; and the CMT GREATEST series. Responsible for all network development, Kusbit will create both music and entertainment-based programming. Kusbit is repped by Sean Perry of the Endeavor Agency and attorney Jeanne Newman.

Kusbit’s One Louder Productions is credited with producing such MTV shows as “Trailer Fabulous,” “Nick Cannon Presents: Wild ‘N Out,” “Camp Jim” and “Boiling Points.” Prior to setting up One Louder, Kusbit served as Senior Vice President of MTV Production, overseeing music specials and series, special events and all studio-based programming such as “Unplugged” and “House of Style.”

Before joining MTV, Kusbit created and executive-produced pilots and specials for ABC, NBC, New World and Paramount TV. Prior to that, Mr. Kusbit was the producer of Live at 5 on WNBC in New York, and Executive Producer of Good Day New York on Fox.
