OVERVIEW
Based on the hit song by Toby Keith & Willie Nelson, BEER FOR MY HORSES follows the exploits of Joe Bill "Rack" Racklin (Toby Keith), a rogue Oklahoma deputy sheriff who has just watched yet another girlfriend pack up and drive out of his life. As fate would have it, Rack's old flame Annie returns home after a few years in the big city, but their reunion comes to an abrupt halt when she's kidnapped and held for ransom by a Mexican drug lord in retaliation for Rack's arrest of Tito, the drug lord’s brother. Despite the Sheriff's demand that he not get involved, Rack takes the law into his own hands along with fellow deputy and best friend Lonnie (Rodney Carrington). After breaking Tito out of jail, the two take a raucous road trip across state lines, encountering a host of odd characters and detours as they race against time to rescue Annie and return Tito to the Feds in time to save face for Rack's boss. BEER FOR MY HORSES also stars Claire Forlani (CSI: NY), guitar legend Ted Nugent, , Barry Corbin (NO COUNTRY FOR OLD MEN, DUKES OF HAZZARD), special appearance by country icon Willie Nelson with Gina Gershon and Tom Skerritt (BROTHERS AND SISTERS).
